Rescues

Fulton's Crossings philosophy relating to Equine rescue .

We strive to provide a safe environment for all our equine friends that have endured starvation, neglect, and/or physical abuse. Each rescue receives medical attention upon arrival and daily inaction with us. We help to rehabilitate each animal in the hopes that we can locate responsible, caring, and loving homes. For those animals unable to be adopted they will live out the remainder of their lives here at the Ranch or a sister sactuary.

Our goal is to give each animal the opportunity at a second chance at life! We also seek to educate the public on proper care and feeding of horses. It is our hope that through our educational programs people will learn to recognize signs of abuse and neglect and where to report such issues.

It is my personal belief that not all horses need a job to be happy and loved. Sometimes their beauty and grace must be experienced in person. Even something as simple as BBQ day here at the ranch, helps bring those in our community together to enjoy the love our rescues have to give. It helps to bridge the gap between the two species and show that we are not that different from one another.

While I am overjoyed when a horse finds a new home, I refuse to simply rush the process. We believe in complete rehabilitation here at the Ranch. I work very hard and strive for each horse to be whole prior to going to their forever homes. Each horse is adopted with our lifetime contract, which sometimes takes just a bit longer for adopters to agree to sign. Rest assured each horse is going to a "matched" home.

.."One must think of those that are suffering and neglected when you breed horses. It is our job as reponsible breeders to also help those that are already crying for help, before bringing that cute new foal into this world"....
~Kelly Fulton
